I've been reading that this is an old thing and not needed so much nowadays. Is this true? I use FF browser and I always have to download updates more than once for it to show up on my computer. I have it set to let me know when updates are available so I can update it myself. I never choose to automatically update anything on my PC so I can keep up with what happened last if I encounter a problem.

Some people need Flash player and others do not. I personally do because games I play still require it. Most folks with Windows 10 will receive Adobe Flash Player updates along with their Windows updates from Microsoft, at least I do but of course I do use it. Some web sites also use it I believe. Windows 10 Updates often include Adobe Flash Player updates. Windows 10 updates ARE automatic, they can be delayed for a short time but otherwise they do happen automatically, this would include Adobe Flash if an update is available. It is VITAL for security that the very latest version of EVERYTHING on your computer, Windows, Firefox, Adobe Flash is on your computer.
Most all browsers now automatically disable Adobe Flash UNLESS NEEDED and then you must tell the browser to allow it for whatever you are doing or whatever web site you are visiting. Once you leave that site then Adobe Flash is disabled until it is needed the next time. Almost all browsers available still use Adobe Flash WHEN NEEDED but will turn it off when not needed.
The latest version of Firefox is v.69.0.3 so according to your system info you are 4 versions behind. VERY DANGEROUS. Turn on the auto updates for Firefox in order to keep your computer safe, same goes for Adobe Flash Player. ANYTHING way out of date puts your computer and everything on it at great risk.

Thanks jholland for the info & I'll take care of those updates asap. Very good because upon further inspection if your current version was as shown in your info, 68.0.1, then it was released in July and would actually have put you 6 updates behind.
You really should have Firefox set to automatically update because it is not unusual for Mozilla to release multiple updates in one month and 99% of the time those are for protection against various newly found Security issues. If you are not current then as I said, your computer is at great risk.
