My Norton just flagged your link as being a 'dangerous website' and has blocked it.

My Norton just flagged your link as being a 'dangerous website' and has blocked it. Sorry Barney, Zednet links have been posted here countless times in the past with no mentions of flagging by any programs, so there must be something wrong with your Norton because I just ran the site through Norton Safe Web and it was found to be perfectly safe, No issues whatsoever. I also ran it through Trend Micro Site Safety Center and Sucuri Site Check
with very same results from both sites, safe, no issues found.

Strange! My Norton Safe Web is reporting it under a completely different site name.

Not sure what your problem is Barney but the site linked by budgall is most definitely zdnet and not viglink. I tried multiple ways to see if I could get that instead of zdnet and I could not. Don't really know what to tell you or how to check it out but think you need to find out what might be causing this for you.

Don't really know what to tell you or how to check it out but think you need to find out what might be causing this for you. I just ignored the warning and clicked on 'Continue to site'. I then had to sign into my Norton Account to enable Isolation Mode and zdnet appeared in all it's glory.

You shouldn't have to do any of that though Barney cause every site checker ranks zdnet as safe and I found nothing that linked it to viglink either. Wonder if that might be some ad or link on that page because viglink is an outbound-traffic monetization service for publishers, forums, and bloggers, though the only clickable link I see is to Microsoft for info on version 1909 released last week and inspecting that link there is no mention whatsoever or link to viglink. I use MalwareBytes Browser guard and AdBlock Plus and there is nothing on either about viglink either in lists of what they are blocking. Something very strange going on there for sure because from what I have found viglink is not on that page anywhere.

Nothing to add here except that zdnet.com has been and is a very popular and well know website that has been in existing on the web for a long time. I tend to agree with Judy that it's a Norton issue. I haven't used any Norton branded products for couple of decades so can't comment if they are good or bad.
