Having used SpywareBlaster for many many years I of course DID download and install the new version but had a couple problems thought I should mention;
First of all I do use Malwarebytes' Browser Guard which I highly recommend to all, however due to its agressive protection it occasionally will attempt to block a page that YOU know for sure is good because it is not yet on their Whitelist of safe sites so it will block the page. This happened to me this morning when I went to the Brightfort download site for SpywareBlaster. I followed the instructions from Malwarebytes' which is adding a check mark next to "Do not block this site again for suspicious download" and clicking "I want to continue to this site anyway". This will allow MY personal Malwarebytes' Browser Guard to ignore this false positive from now on so if you are using this you will have to do the same. I have also notified Malwarebytes' of this false positive so I am sure they likely will add it to the app themselves in the future.
I also had one other slight difficulty which was when I tried to run the installer my WIndows 10 WIndows Defender SmartScreen prevented this installer from running. By clicking More Info I was then given the choice to Run Anyway. I of course chose to do this because I have used SpywareBlaster for many years and know it is safe.

I had the same warning from Windows Defender but did the same as you.
