Is this board still working, I don't see any activity since 2023? Did it move to something else.

Does windows 10 require Java? I had it before my last big update on my computer, I can't find it on my programs any more, can someone give me the site to download for Java please,

Java is rarely needed today and hasn't been for a long time. Most browsers do Not support Java anymore. Some software does require it and some gaming sites require it and if you need it you will then be prompted to install it. There are some serious vulnerabilities with Java and because of these known vulnerabilities Very few web sites require it today. Some software, not many, but some does require Java and if you have one of those programs installed then it won't work right without Java but if that is the case then the program will tell you that you should download Java. If you have not received the prompt to install it then you don't need it and so don't install it. |

Thanks Judy, the only reason I ask this is because sometimes Java comes up on my screen if I am looking at a website off of facebook then java comes up and ask if I want to save it I usually just click it off, so that is why I though maybe I needed a update or something for Java.

Thanks I haven't ever had a Java prompt on Facebook. Are you certain it is Java? I don't know why or even believe that Java would ask you if you wanted to save a web site. That is really unusual. Are you certain this question is from Java? Is there a Java logo on it? *see attached You have to be extremely careful looking at web links on Facebook. Lots of dangerous ads there. Also people unknowingly post lots of dangerous links there too. Attachments:
