I have a Toshiba S55 series laptop w/Windows 7 Pro. I am needing to upgrade to Windows 10. How would I go about accomplishing that? Thanks!

I am on a couple of other boards and in the last month or so, several people have upgraded to 10 from 7 and 8. No problems with any of them.

Multiple boards and websites are all still indicating that even though the so called deadline to get Windows 10 upgrade for free ended at the end of 2017, Microsoft is still encouraging folks to do the upgrade.... and it's free..... Here's just two of many respected sites giving the steps to do so: www.howtogeek.com/272201/all-the-ways-you-can-still-get-windows-10-for-free/www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/you-can-still-upgrade-to-windows-10-for-free-heres-how/ MS was just wanting everyone using Windows to get the more secure and safe Win 10 instead of staying with 7, 8, or 8.1 .... so many more security features in Windows 10 protects Microsoft and their reputation (and all Windows users)..... The "pressure" they wanted to impart to folks was pretty much just that, they knowing that unless many folks are pushed to get the update they would just sit on their old familiar version of Windows and not bother updating..... and that failure to upgrade would continue putting them and everyone else at risk of troubles from the earlier less safe operating systems......it worked, pushing many/most folks to do the update and "get something for free" .... but we all were the real winners, as well as MS..... You'll find that even the included Windows Defender antivirus protective program included in Win 10 is also noted by most sites as a premium and top rated AV program also given for free as included with the operating system.... more safety for everyone, and less problems and headaches for MS...... Everyone is a winner!!!! Happy updating......

I upgraded my Windows 7 Pro over the weekend and it went flawlessly, thanks to ya'lls advice. I really appreciate your time and trouble. I was ready to either take it somewhere or buy a new one. Now I don't have to do either one. Thanks again!!! arf1

I also upgraded a Windows 7 Pro computer to Windows 10 1909 last weekend for a friend. No problems.
