If you set your Firefox to auto-update then you receive updates automatically as soon as they are released. I've always had mine set to auto update and have had no problems whatsoever.

Thanks for the link and info ref why update critically needed. I noticed this info from the link: How to Update Firefox to the Latest Version
If you have the correct settings enabled, there’s a good chance Firefox will have updated itself already. However, to make absolutely sure, you need to check the version you’re currently running on your computer, and, if necessary, update Firefox manually. To update Firefox, do the following:
Click the hamburger menu in the Firefox menu bar. Click Help > About Firefox (or Firefox > About Firefox on a Mac). You’ll see your current version of Firefox, and any available updates. If there’s an update, click “Restart to update Firefox” to apply it. At the end of the process, you should have 72.0.1 (or later) installed.

All I do is click on 'Help' on the menu bar, then click on 'About Firefox'. Any updates will then automatically install.

Barney, the Hamburger Menu is the 3 line menu seen now on most browsers and some web sites in the upper right corner. If one does not have the Menu Bar enabled in Firefox, like you and I prefer to do, then a person would have to use the "Hamburger Menu" as directed by big toe.

Honestly I had never heard it called that before either, I had to run it through DuckDuckGo to get the answer. Like you, looking at it I certainly can see why the name. Looks like a "double decker" burger. Or maybe a Big Mac "Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions – on a sesame seed bun"
