Jerry,
Did you do everything listed here?
Press Windows key + R to open Run. Type netplwiz into the Run bar and hit Enter. Select the User account you are using under the User tab. Check by clicking "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" checkbox and click on Apply. Sign-out and sign-in again to check if issue persist. *********** Here are alternative ways to do this too;
Open Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign in options Click in the Require sign in list box Choose Never
Or, you can do the following;
Press Windows key + R Type: control userpasswords2 Hit Enter
Uncheck 'Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer'
Click Apply then OK.

Judy I did it both ways that you said andthen restarted it and still the login came up and said wrong password i clicked okay and then clicked in my regular password and it booted on up I gave you three ways Jerry. The one you had already tried which actually should have had 6 steps , Hit Apply, then Sign out. Reboot.
Then the other two also require that you hit Apply, did you do this?
Also you don't just hit Start and Type
Is this computer fully up to date?
winver should read Version 1901 (OS Build 18363.592)

Judy heres my winver Version 1909 (os build 18363.592) Then your computer is up to date. I have no idea why the removal of the boot up password doesn't work for you. You have the three ways it can be done. All I can say is if none of them work then I think you might be leaving out a step because all three of those should work or at least one of them should work. Make sure you are doing each step AND also, make sure you are doing a Restart not just a Shut down and Start Up. They are not the same thing. A shutdown in Windows 10 is not really a shut down, the state of RAM is written to the hard disk and then read back into RAM when you start your system again. Basically it is like the hibernation process in previous versions of Windows. So if there is a fault, that will be read back into RAM when your system starts again Whereas a Restart does actually clear RAM and does not read the state of Windows. Making sure you do this when making changes is always a good idea. The boot process will take slightly longer because everything must restart. Attachments:

Just thought of something Jerry, occasionally the log in page will come up when I boot my computer. I don't type anything in I leave it blank and just click the Enter Key. My computer comes right on. Try that.

Judy I knew you could do it yes it worked thanks again.Jerry Funny thing was just before I posted that it happened to me! Usually happens sometime after I have received an update and I did this morning. It is never a for sure thing, one time it happens and then next time it doesn't, I never know. After it happens then I don't see the log in screen for ages. Computer just boots right up
