Howdy. I had an extension that had a button on Youtube for me to download videos. It no longer works which I believe is due to some Youtube update. Does anyone have a recommendation for an extension that does work now? I like to download videos during the early morning hours when my satellite provider gives me the most internet allowance. I have no evil intentions for wanting these videos. Most are crafting videos which I need to pause and play often in order to follow the steps. Thanks in advance.

I have for years been using Video Download Helper which is an extension for Firefox.
There is also one for Chrome.

Using the method I suggested above doesn't seem to work well with youtube but I found that method 3 of this site does work for me.
This does involve installing free software called 4K Video Downloader. The location of the downloaded video is by default Libraries; Videos.
