Hi, I have been a member of Facebook since 2002 and I am 80+ years of age. Yesterday, I was kick off Facebook and asked to verify my age. So I sent them a copy of my drivers license. Has this happen to anyone else? How long does it take to get back on? I like Facebook because I can connect with colleagues and family. Plus I do play a few games on Facebook. I am not a troll and mine my own P's & Q's....There is no way to contact Facebook. Thank you for any information you can give me....

Trying to have others get you back into Facebook is extremely difficult, if not impossible we really can only give suggestions.
Give us a bit more information;
Not sure what you mean by "kicked off" of Facebook. Can you explain that? Were you actually ON Facebook at the time or were you trying to log in? If you were trying to log in what reason did they give you for not allowing you in, an incorrect password or user name? Other than your age what else was requested? What browser were you using at the time?
Have you followed the steps given below?

I was on Facebook when all of sudden I was dismissed and when I went to log on they asked me to verify my age..So I sent them a copy of my drivers license. Maybe it takes time for them to verify and resurrect my account. It is very frustrating. I tried everything....oh well if they don't want me I don't want them either. Thanks JHolland1964...I guess I will have wait and see what happens next. Maybe I tried too many times to log on...LOL Thanks again for your valuable advice...you are a real "sweetheart"....

Couple of things here, you say you were on Facebook and suddenly you were "dismissed". Can you better explain that? Do you mean Facebook logged you off? Or maybe you lost your internet connection for a short time which would then require you to log back in for sure.
You said "Maybe I tried too many times to log on." There is a limit on how many times you can try to log in and then, yes, you will have to verify your I.D. When you tried to log in did they say what was wrong when the log in failed or did they just say something like name/password doesn't match or is incorrect?
If you have allowed it to do so then Firefox will save your user names and passwords for the sites you use where log in is required.
That can be found by going to Tools, Options, Privacy and Security. Scroll down about 1/3 to 1/2 on the page and you will see a button that says "Saved Logins..."
Hit that button and when that section opens then type facebook into the search box. You should then see what I show in my attachment. I have blurred my own FB username but you can see where it appears....left side first so click on it and then your information will appear in the middle. There is your user name and password. Click on the "eye" to show the password.
Try those and be sure that you choose REMEMBER ME or Stay logged in when you sign in and then you will never have to sign in again.

Hi JHolland64,
Or maybe you lost your internet connection for a short time which would then require you to log back in for sure. No I did not lose my internet connection.
There is a limit on how many times you can try to log in and then, yes, you will have to verify your I.D.
I tried too many times yesterday….today once….I think I will stop for two days!.....I think I tried to many times…….I was so upset!!!
If you have allowed it to do so then Firefox will save your user names and passwords for the sites you use where log in is required.
Yes, I already allow Firefox to save my user names and passwords...
Hit that button and when that section opens then type Facebook into the search box. You should then see what I show in my attachment. I have blurred my own FB username but you can see where it appears....left side first so click on it and then your information will appear in the middle. There is your user name and password. Click on the "eye" to show the password.
Yes, I did this…and found Facebook with my last password…
Try those and be sure that you choose REMEMBER ME or Stay logged in when you sign in and then you will never have to sign in again.
I have always stayed logged on Facebook. I think they were checking my age for some unknown reason. I am not a troll and never confrontation. Thank you so very much for helping me . I am going to stay away from Facebook for two days. Maybe it was my fault because I tried to log in too many times….but, why they dismissed me I really don’t know… Thanks again for all your advice and patience with me....

Marie, I honestly do not believe that Facebook checks ages for unknown reasons, they do this only when a person has trouble logging in and they do it for verification purposes.
I really think there is a good chance you may have accidentally logged out, hence you would then have to log back in. They just would not suddenly close you out, at least I have never had this happen and have never heard of it happening. If they did this they would give a reason for doing so, did they give you a reason?
They have not dismissed or disabled you. If your Facebook account has been disabled, you'll see a message saying your account is disabled when you try to log in. Have you seen that message?
I believe you likely logged out by mistake and then you have attempted to log in too many times and failed that is for a person's protection to be sure that some unknown person isn't trying to log into Facebook.
You might also go through the info on this link about problems with Facebook.

A similar situation happened with a friend of mine. When you are attempting to log in do ensure that it is the login section you are using. My friend was mistakenly using the larger more prominent register area. The login is smaller on top right. I am just mentioning this as a possibility as it is a very easy mistake to make

Thank you Mr. Everton.... Yes, I have been logging on the smaller version on top right. For some reason they are questioning age....This is what I see when I log on. A form appears.......... They want me to complete the form with my full name, age...Month Day Year.....and proof of age. I made a copy of my drivers license and included it where they say to.
...they said:
"Your account has been locked because we need to confirm your age. Please complete the form below within 28 days to regain access to your account. If you don’t confirm your age within 28 days, your account will be deleted. Please keep in mind that you won’t be able to access your account without completing this step."
I think I fulled this form out too many times and I have confused them. I give up! It is too frustrating...It was good while it lasted...maybe I will hear from during the work week. This happen yesterday on a Saturday....I will let you and JHolland64 know if I am able to get back on Facebook. Thank you so very much for your valuable info...Marie/Cricket

Marie, as I said earlier age with your I.D. is one of the most usual ways they use to verify that you truly are who you say that you are.
There is Nothing unusual about this. But, you do have to give them time to actually read the proof and I don't believe that you have done that.
You have said that this just happened yesterday, 24 hours ago. You will have to give them time to verify it and 24 hours is not enough time.
They will notify you when they have done this. Stop checking. They WILL notify you by email. You have to give it time and 24 hours is most definitely not enough time. Do not try to sign in again and do not keep submitting your proof. They WILL contact you and it may take awhile.

You're welcome Marie. Give it some time and see what happens. Remember that it is estimated that Facebook has over 220,000,000 users in the US alone and it is likely you aren't the only one who has submitted their proof of age due to a log in problem...so...well you see what I am getting at. Give it some time.
Now if you don't want to wait you can try to set up a new Facebook account. You would have to "re-friend" all your contacts but if you spread the word among the one's you are in contact with in other ways besides Facebook then you should be able to regain the ones on your list you want to regain. And you can again play the games though your stored scores etc. will be lost cause you'll have to start at the beginning. Something to consider though.
