Just like that I can't get on Instagram on my computer. A couple days ago is when it first happened so I run CCleaner to let it clear my cache and that day I could get on Instagram like always. Since then I can't go there anymore. All I get is a little gray icon in the middle of a white page.

What browser are you using? Is your browser 100% up to date?
Does this only happen on Instagram? Try a different browser and see if the same thing happens. If not then the problem is with the browser. There are several solutions but it will help to know which browser in order to give correct information.

Why are you using CCleaner to clear your cache? Most browsers have their own thing to clear this as well as other stuff.

Why are you using CCleaner to clear your cache? Most browsers have their own thing to clear this as well as other stuff. As Mr.Bill says, really no reason to use CCleaner for something like this as the solution will likely lie within the browser itself and the CCleaner removes a lot more than just a browser cache. I haven't used CCleaner in several years in fact I don't have it on my computers anymore.
As I said earlier, we need to know which browser you are using and if it is up to date. To be sure the problem does not lie with Instagram try it on a different browser. If you can access the page then you know the problem lies with the browser. Do you have any new add-ons on the browser? Have you altered the settings in any way? Are you running any 3rd party security programs or browser add-ons?
We need answers from you first.

I'm using FF browser and its up to date. I tried using Opera and got the same result. Is CCleaner not a good program anymore? I use it every so often as previously suggested on this forum. And since it cleans the cache I didn't use any other way to clear it. I've not added anything to my computer other than changing my dsl modem and the windows updates that happen.

If this happens with two browsers then the cache is not likely the problem. It would most likely be a security add-on on both browsers or some other sort of security program you have on the computer that runs all the time and blocks sites on the browsers. Try running Firefox in Troubleshooting mode, done by going to Firefox Help, Troubleshoot Mode. The browser will close automatically and then re-open with add-ons and extensions turned off. Then try to go to Instagram. If you can go there then you know for sure that one of the browser add-ons or extensions is the cause. You will have to narrow down which one by turning them back on one at a time and again trying Instagram. Once the cause is added back it likely will stop the ability to go to Instagram and you should likely remove it from both browsers.
I see your signature says that you are running FF v.83.0. Firefox now is v. 94.0.2 and you are running Avast Free & Malwarebytes. Is this accurate? I know you are running Spywareblaster but that would NOT figure into this at all so no worries there.
You are running Windows 10, the very best protection now days for Windows 10 is the FREE built in Windows Defender. Also, are you running the Free or Paid version of Malwarebytes? If it is the paid version then it runs all the time and could also cause your problem with the browser.
CCleaner is ok but really unnecessary today. If you want to clean the browser cache then you should do it through the browser, very easy to do and if done right you won't run a risk of cleaning out too much.
Also, please give us a print screen of exactly what you see when you attempt to go to Instagram. It might give us some help in identifying the problem if we could actually see the "little gray icon in the middle of a white page."

Debbier, you have not said whether you are accessing Instagram as a website in your browser or using the App (from the MS Store) ? I am assuming it is the website. I do not use Instagram but when I go to the site, before the login page loads I momentarily see the white page with the little grey icon in the centre which is actually the Instagram logo. It seems you are not getting any further than that. I believe Instagram requires JavaScript to be enabled. I think it is enabled by default in Firefox but you could check that it has not been disabled by carefully doing the following Open a new Firefox browser window or tab.
Copy the following then paste it into the Firefox address bar: about:config
Hit the Enter key.
On the next page, click the "Accept the Risk and Continue" button.
Type javascript.enabled in the search box at the top of the page and it will find it for you. (or you can click 'show all' and scroll down to it)
Check that the value says "True". If it says "False" click to toggle button on the right and it will change to "true"
Close the preferences window and refresh your browser.

Excellent suggestions Everton! Since poster has not returned to comment on what add-ons and extensions she has on her browsers I will also state that if she has NoScript and/or Ghostery added to her browsers then either or both of those add-ons are used to disable scripts on browsers. NoScript allows JavaScript and other content to run only on websites of your choice. Ghostery allows you to block scripts from companies that you don't trust. If you use these then you must understand HOW and when to use them because if JavaScript has been disabled within your browser, the content or the functionality of the web page can be limited or unavailable.

Thanks for your replies to my post. I did reply back a couple days ago about my issue but apparently I messed up and it didn't get posted. I use the free versions of Avast and Malwarebytes. My FF is the 94.0.2 version. I've not updated my signature yet. I believe my problem was caused by Malwarebytes Browser Guard. I've disabled that and have since then had access to Instagrams website as before on the computer.

I have it on two computers, three different browsers on each and have no difficulty accessing Instagram with any of them. I just checked my browsers on Instagram and looked at Malwarebytes Browser Guard and on all three there actually was nothing for it to block on Instagram.

jholland that's the same thing I got when I tried to get on the Instagram website. But that's also when all I could get was the little gray icon on a white page. Since reading your reply I've enabled the MBG again and restarted my computer. As of now I can still get on the website. I don't know what to think now. 90% of the time I use my computer when using the internet. The other 10% I use my iphone. I didn't think to see if I could get on Instagram using my phone.

Debbie, your computer and your iPhone are two entirely different types of devices. They use completely different operating systems. The iPhone is an Apple product and uses the Apple operating system so whatever happens on your computer, which uses the Windows operating system, would not usually happen on the iPhone and vice/versa. If something should occur on both then the problem would be with the website itself and not the device you are using to access the site.
You mentioned you rebooted the computer, have you done that before when having this trouble? That should always be step #1 when experiencing something like this, Reboot the computer and if the problem continues then progress to other options.
The Malwarebytes Browser Guard would not cause this problem. This add-on filters out annoying ads and scams while blocking trackers that spy on you. Blocks web pages that contain malware and as you see by my attachment, Instagram contains NO malware.
You didn't answer my question, do you have NoScript or Ghostery on your browsers? Those could be the cause, but Malwarebytes is not the cause.
I would strongly recommend that you remove Avast and use the built in Windows Defender instead. It is excellent. I have never used a 3rd party anti-virus program because Windows Defender is truly Excellent. Most others here also have removed their 3rd party av programs on their Windows 10. If you decide to do this then of course you must remove it in the proper way.

Thanks for the clarification on the different devices. Yes I did reboot when this issue first happened. Unless NoScript/Ghostery come with the browser I've not added either of those. How do I remove the Avast properly? Is there a better way than Add/remove programs in Control panel? Windows Defender is turned on already.

If Windows Defender is already turned on then you have a problem because it shouldn't run unless there is no other anti-virus program on there. When Avast is removed then it would automatically turned on. Are you certain you have Avast anti-virus on there?

What you are showing is the Firewall not the anti-virus portion and yes the Firewall is turned on which is good.
Once you remove Avast then the anti-virus portion will automatically turn on.
You are looking in and your print screen shows Control Panel. Go to Settings>Update and Security>Windows Security

You have two areas that need action; Account Protection and App and Browser Control.
Have you removed Avast?

Do that now and then do nothing else for now. It is 12:50 A.M. so I have to sign off for now. I will check back tomorrow and see how things stand.

Green means there aren’t any recommended actions right now.
Yellow means there is a safety recommendation for you.
Have you clicked on any of those with yellow? Note they ALL say "Actions Recommended" You do need to click on them to see what you need to do.
I can only give you general instructions because I don't know why you have these notifications.
On the Virus & Threat Protection click on it and see what it says. It may be that you just need to do the scan since you are now using Windows Defender Virus Protection and of course since you had Avast on there and removed it the built in anti-virus program has not been used. You can do either a Quick Scan or an Advanced scan. It is likely this will all you'll need to do to get the indicator to turn green. After that it pretty much takes care of itself as long as you do have Windows Updates set to Automatic, which should always be the case.Windows Defender updates very regularily and you honestly never know it. Also make sure that Real Time Protection is turned ON.
AFTER you have fixed the first one then you will have to click on the other two, one at a time, to see why you are receiving the yellow warning and follow the instructions on what you need to do.
These ALWAYS ALL should show Green.
