I'm setting up a new to me PC--It's windows 10-home.
All emails and all pages on websites have colors reversed
The printing is white and the background black.
I'm probably asking the question when searching using the wrong terminology. I saw this problem asked and answered many years ago

You said this is "new to you". Was this computer originally set up and used by somebody else? Was it like this when you got it?
What browser are you using? When something like this happens it is often a browser add-on that causes the problem.

When something like this happens it is often a browser add-on that causes the problem. It was set up right here it was a member of the family.( grandson to son ) . It was reset so it would have wiped out like you were selling/giving it away. Browser is Microsoft EDGE--email program is Mozilla Thunderbird. It has been this way since it was first turned on even before I started setting up out. ( like taking in out of the box ) So it couldn't be a add-on I'm hoping I can describe this so someone will understand

Is it only the browser and thunderbird doing this? For instance, why typing a document using something like Word pad do the same thing?
Have you asked the person who set it up if it was like this before?
You seem to think I don't understand, I believe I do but if you prefer I will bow out and let somebody else handle this.

Everything is like that--what ever you do/where ever you go. It was not like this when "Gramps" had it---It was the way it was supposed to be. I used it when it was his so I know how it was. You seem to think I don't understand----That wasn't for you----that is for others that might read this.

Since this affects the entire computer I believe that you have turned on a High Contrast Theme. These are generally for those computer users who have an eye-sight disability, since they heighten the color contrast of text, windows borders and images on your screen, in order to make them more visible and easier to read and identify. Try the suggestions given here, one of them should work for you; 3 Ways to Turn off High Contrast on Windows 10

Actually I have been using Gramps account ((FINN)) with NWT. I'll have to set up my own account when I get a chance. I didn't just take over his computer because many relatives have used in the past And I don't know what was on it. Thanks again

You're welcome. Is the actual FINN using this account too? If so then for sure you need to create your own account.

My sincere condolences on your loss. We knew Finn had health issues but it is a shock to learn he has passed on.. He was a feisty gentleman here at NWT and possibly he is now attempting to set up the internet where he is ! Welcome to the site. I hope you enjoy participating. You might like to introduce yourself to members here newworldtech.freeforums.net/thread/62/hello

He had the strongest fentanyl pain patches they could prescribe For now I'm shutting off his memberships, I'll return sometime in the future with my own membership.
