The computer my husband uses is a Dell inspiron 17 with Windows 10. He has been getting the following message:
C:/Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft. MicrosoftOfficeHub_17.8830.7600.0_x64…\OfficeHubWin32.exe This process has no package identity
(I hope I've copied it correctly)
Does anyone know what it means, or if I should do anything about it?
Thanks, Mary

Does this just pop up on its own or is he using or trying to use some specific program?
Does he have Microsoft Office 2016 installed?

Judy-
It pops up on its own. This happens when he's been on the computer, and he walks away for 15 minutes or so, then he wakes it up. He says he hasn't shut the computer off and he hasn't started using any of the programs when it happens. He has Microsoft Office 365 installed on his computer, but he wasn't using any of the programs when it happens. This just started happening in the last few days.

Mary This file is not part of Microsoft Office 365, it is a file that is associated with Microsoft Office 2016, those two programs are not the same thing. I have found some listings that say this may be an infection or malware if the computer does not have Microsoft Office 2016 installed. This is not absolutely malware but I did find the reference on several different sites, but better to be safe than sorry so I would suggest that you run all of the steps given in out Preliminary Cleanup Steps, making sure that each and every step for each program IS completed and cleaning IS done and see what is found. AdwCleaner requires TWO steps but not two runs. Please copy/paste the logs created by both Malwarebytes' and AdwCleaner back here. Post the logs created AFTER the cleaning not ones created before cleaning. Each log will say that cleaning has taken place.

Judy-
Sorry to have wasted your time, but my husband doesn't want me to bother with his computer. I guess it's is loss.
Again, I apologize.

Researching something is never a waste of time. You offered to try to fix it, he declined and you know that you personally don't have to contend with the pop up. His choice.
