Thanks to Everton for contacting me with this suggestion!!!!
She and I both feel you were speaking about this malware, Av-antivirus, and it IS malware. Follow the suggestions given in this post in our Virus and Malware Help forum:
Follow the instructions exactly and when you have completed both the Malwarebytes' scan and the AdwCleaner scan and completed the cleaning with both of them then post back here with the logs from both programs.

Shimmy, do you have Malwarebytes program on your computer?
As you know I had to move your reply from the incorrect place to this thread you created, in order to answer in this thread, which IS the correct thing to do just hit the Reply button and then type your answer in the new post box. When you are finished then hit the Save button.

It is not malware . I got rid of it from right clicking it in the Action Center.and choosing do not show in action center. Thank you for your time. It IS malware. The only thing you have done is hidden it to do its evil work in secret and I guarantee that it WILL until you won't be able to use it at all.
Please read this information found by Everton, this IS Malware!!
Since you don't feel you can clean it yourself then take the computer to a shop and pay to have it cleaned.

I did a Quick scan and then an advanced scan with Windows De fender. It showed everytyhing okay.
What used to come up on My notifications was mydirections.com ON top below Windows want you to D/L av antivirus.I would just delete it.until I R. click and saw the message to not show.Other than that everything is working fine.

Obviously you do not wish to follow instructions. So that is your choice. Windows Defender is an anti-virus program and but like many other Antivirus program it won’t necessarily protect nor remove adware, PUPs and other malware. All I can say is good luck. I've offered the normal, recommended suggestions to clean your computer. You asked for help but you have chosen not to follow the standard, well known and used recommendations so I wish you luck

Wrong response - The correct response is " I will ask my grandson to follow the instructions in reply #5 above to clean my PC" Despite what you think, your computer is still infected and will remain so until you clean it using the recommended tools in reply #5.

If you decide or your grandson decides to really clean the computer the steps in reply #5 can be used with the exception of using the Junkware Removal Tool as it was discontinued 2 years ago and no longer used or available for download. All other tools listed are available and MUST be used.
